Academic Advising
Webb is committed to providing students the support they need to excel in the academic program. Students’ primary source of assistance and guidance is the classroom teacher. Students can schedule appointments to meet individually or in small groups with teachers before school, in a common free period, at lunch or outside the academic day. These sessions can be used to review course content, improve study skills, prepare for tests or get help on an assignment.
Beyond the classroom, Webb students each have a personal Advisor with whom they can discuss matters of concern – academic or otherwise. Advisors meet with students regularly to help plan the academic program, but also have more informal meetings and outings. Advisors act as mentors, counselors, cheerleaders, friends. The bonds they form with their advisees are often among the most memorable parts of life at Webb.
