Laurie Kausrud
Head Coach, Softball
Coach Laurie Kausrud has long believed that athletics are a crucial part of a well-rounded education. During her own high school athletic career, she demonstrated her versatility on both the softball field and the basketball court, including two second-round and one semifinal appearance in the CIF softball playoffs. Coach Kausrud's multifaceted athletic experience provided her with important lessons in leadership, teamwork, and ethics -- lessons that she now strives to bring to her own students.
Coach Kausrud joined Webb in 2008 as coach of both the girls' basketball and varsity softball teams. She came to Webb from Western Christian High School, where she spent two years as head coach of junior varsity basketball and one summer as assistant varsity coach. Coach Kausrud was also the assistant varsity basketball coach at Chino Hills High School, where she helped lead the team to the second-round CIF playoffs for the first time in that school's history.
For Coach Kausrud, athletics are not just about sports: they are a proving ground for character and values. Her goal is to challenge her student athletes to achieve excellence in every area of their lives, and build the skills they need for future success.
