VWS Athlete of the Month:
Carly Paris '10

Carly plays first base for Vivian Webb softball and is 3rd in the batting line up. First base players are part of just about every play, and Carly has done her job well and made key plays for the Gauls in every game. She also consistently puts the bat on the ball.  Coach Laurie Kausrud praised Carly as a real team player.  “She not only steps up when her team needs her but she also works hard. She is the definition of a great attitude and puts her whole heart into games and even practices. The coaching staff really appreciates her diligence and her great attitude.”

WSC Athlete of the Month:
Neel Kotrappa '10

Neel has been virtually unstoppable on the varsity tennis squad this season. Not only did he remain undefeated for the month of April with a record of 18 - 0, 13 of his 18 opponents walked off the court without a single win.  In fact, if you count every game Neel played during April, his record is 108 wins and only 7 losses. In one match versus Chadwick, he even earned the rare triple bagel - three straight sets without losing a single game. Coach Jim Dahler has high praise for Neel.  “When this athlete steps on the tennis court, he demolishes the opposition. He has a killer instinct and never plays down to the level of weaker competition.”
