Unbounded Thinking

One of the most significant things that a school can do is to teach students to think.

Webb seeks to teach students to think “unboundedly” – not bound by what is, but imagining what could be.  This principle can be seen throughout Webb: in academics, in the arts, in student outings and activities, in community service, and more.

Webb encourages students to think outside the bounds of convention, and to learn by exploring and discovering things for themselves.  This discovery learning approach encourages curiosity, imagination, creativity, and truth-seeking.  It teaches students to analyze, predict, observe, and learn from results, both in the classroom and beyond.  In this way Webb students develop a love of learning and discovery that they carry with them to college and throughout their lives.
