Dies Mulieris "Day of the Woman"

The VWS symposium explores and celebrates the many facets of womanhood and important issues facing women today.  Events often explore the ever-changing and evolving roles of men and women in society and the traditional family and beyond.

Student workshops have included:  Gender Roles in Fiction, Women Chefs in a Man's World, Self Defense, Women's Nutrition, Don't Accept Less Than Your Worth (tips on negotiating salary and position).  Speakers have included Suzy Degazon, world-class ultra tri-athlete, Dr. Jill Grisby, Professor of Sociology, Pomona College, and Leslie Lakeman, executive chef.
