    Sunday, April 28th marked our 14th Annual Sophomore Career Evening here at Webb. Presented by the Alumni Council, this year’s event welcomed back nine alumni who presented to the sophomore class on their professional experiences and life after Webb. Speakers covered everything from medicine, the law and service to finance, interior design and technological entrepreneurship.

    Young alumni of Webb will be busy around the globe this summer with some exciting internships in finance, marketing, scientific research and lots more. Our new Webb@Work program has also helped place nine alumni and students in summer internships thanks to our Webb alumni and parent network.

  • Robotics @ the FTC World Championships

    April 25, 2013

    **UPDATE** The Gaulbots finished 27th out of 64 teams in their division at the FTC World Championships in St. Louis, MO. Webb's record of four wins, three losses, and one tie amongst the top 5% of the 2,800 robotics teams in the world is a tremendous accomplishment for the program.

  • New York to San Francisco

    April 22, 2013

    The Webb community – hosted by alumni – gathered on opposite coasts this spring to visit with Head of Schools Taylor Stockdale, fellow Webbies and to hear the latest news from campus. Trustee David Loo ’79 and his wife Valerie welcomed alumni, families and friends into their Gramercy Park home and Matt Barton ’85 hosted the community at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco.

  • New Dinosaur From Madagascar Raises More Questions Than It Answers

    April 18, 2013

    The first new species of dinosaur from Madagascar in nearly a decade was announced on April 18, filling an important gap in the island’s fossil record. Dr. Andrew Farke, Augustyn Family Curator of Paleontology at the Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology and Dr. Joe Sertich, Curator of Vertebrate Paleontology at Denver Museum of Nature & Science are authors of the research released.
