Arts & Culture

Webb harbors an extraordinary commitment to promoting open-mindedness and discovery in the pursuit of art and culture.  Our individual programs in art, music, theater and literature are focused on developing in students, enjoyment and discrimination as an audience, as well as developing in them skills through artistic practice and historical study.

Every student at Webb designs his or her own two-year sequence in the arts, which can include studio art, photography, theater, orchestra, choir, and electronic and digital media.  In addition, students study literature and writing for all four years, and also participate as they like in the school newspaper, yearbook, literary magazine and more.

Los Angeles is a global center of art and entertainment.  Webb students benefit from the school’s location and attend theater and musical performances, art and museum exhibits, and more.

Webb alumni, too, are found in every area of the arts from acting and directing, to television and film writing and producing,
