It was another wonderful week at Webb. Students jumped feet first into their AP exams, teachers were celebrated during "Teacher Appreciation Week," and a touching conclusion to the boys' volleyball season were all highlights.

The AP's are here! The AP's are here!
Under beautifully blue skies and a hot Californian sun, BBQ lunches were served on Chandler Field while AP testing took place in the Dining Hall. No one got too hot thanks to the seniors who threw out water balloons to those in attendance.
The Parents Affiliates had their end-of-year dinner at The Webb House on Tuesday, and Affiliates President Laura Romero (P '12, '15) made some nice remarks and thanked everyone for their hard work and dedication.
Have you ever felt like this with Senor Valera? One of Webb's most beloved teachers was featured in a "Teacher Appreciation Week" gallery on our Facebook page last week.
As usual, Morty steals the scene away from Ms. Kim and Ms. Schnupp in another picture from the "Teacher Appreciation" gallery.
Mr. Quick, biology teacher and badminton coach promised his team he'd shave off his enormous goatee if they made the CIF Finals. As you can see, both parties held up their end of the bargain...
Mrs. Quick was happy to see "the beast" gone from Mr. Quick's face.

For the first time since 1985 (!!!) the baseball team clinched a League Championship. Coach Stodgel and parents hosted a Gatorade bucket dump and cider spraying celebration when the team returned from their away game.
The baseball team hosts Upland Christian Academy at The Webb Schools on Thursday, May 17 at 3:15. See you there!
Everybody loves a long shot, which is what the L.A. Times recently named the team in a profile on the CIF playoffs. The team aims to prove them right.

Ryan compiled this "stacked" photo by combining hundreds of sequential pictures in order to illustrate the movement of the stars in the night sky. Impressive, isn't it?

Finally, the Cinderella Story of our boys' volleyball team came to an end, but not before they had made it to CIF playoffs for the first time in the team's three-year history. We'll miss all the senior leaders, but thank them for all their hard work!
