On Sunday, April 29 several alumni returned to Webb to talk about their careers and job experiences. Sophomore Career Evening is an annual event, sponsored by the Alumni Council, that gives students a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about the ins-and-outs of different industries and professions. Alumni talk frankly with students giving them an insider's look into the highs and lows of their profession, the education and work experience needed to advance, and even the average salary range.
This year, students heard presentations about medicine, real estate, building and design, the entertainment industry, creative technology, and the military! Feedback from students has been enthusiastic. Sophomore Class President Daniel Zhu thought that "it was a great event where all of sophomore class could start looking into certain fields that we might develop into later in our lives. From having highly successful speakers come and talk about their professions to giving out cool gifts, I think that many of the students got a sneak peek in what their futures could look like."
