Over the past 90 years, just seven Webb teams (in any sport) have ever competed in a championship CIF game or match. This May Webb’s badminton team challenged two-time defending CIF champions Cerritos High School for the crown. Though the Fighting Gauls were ultimately defeated 15-6 in the championship match, this loss was just the second loss for the team in two complete seasons (36-2). Webb badminton currently holds back-to-back League Championships. This is all evermore remarkable considering Webb’s program was started by head coach Kevin Quick just four short years ago.

“This year the group of seniors we have are the first ones to go through all four years with us. They have worked hard to establish a competitive and loving team,” said Head Coach, Kevin Quick.

In addition to the program’s best CIF season in history, Webb took home the following season-ending honors in the San Andreas League.
