You could call it a Cinderella story in combat boots—Webb School of California’s Volleyball team stomped their way to a 17-7 record in 2012 and a third place finish in Prep League. Webb’s team reached the CIF quarterfinals for the first time this year, before finally falling to top-ranked Salesian on Saturday, May 12.
Team leaders Adam Cave ‘12 and Ben Geleris ‘12 spearheaded a superior field of senior hitters that included Manraj Aulakh ’12, Alex Chang ’12, Kyle Coble ’12, Jake Feldsher ’12, Christopher Garabet ’12, Luke Lee ’12, and Henry Xu ’12.
This was only the third year WSC fielded a volleyball squad. For most members of the team it was only their 1st or 2nd season of competitive action. The future for the program looks very bright indeed. Congratulations on a tremendous season. Check out team photos in our gallery, and a dramatic finish in the prelims in the video below.
