Personal fans were distributed in Hooper Student Center to help with the warm weather and lack of air conditioning. Hooper is being used as Webb's central meeting place while Mudd Auditorium is undergoing a complete renovation (due to open by this time next year).

Ice-breaker activities did their intended job for the new students as everyone was beaming with broad smiles.

Beach balls with fun questions written on them were bounced between the new students as a way for everyone to get to know each other.

The Peer Advisors did a tremendous job this year! Each PA is assigned half a dozen new students and will act as mentors for them for their firs year at Webb .

Spencer '15 is a new student to Webb, and is going to be a lot of fun to watch during the water polo season as he spent his summer playing in the National Junior Olympics at Stanford.

If anyone had been shy at the beginning of the day, it certainly didn't show by the end of the afternoon.

Loved and adored by generations of students, Mr. Fawcett, graduated from Webb in 1961 and started teaching here in 1969.

New students played "musical pews" after learning the history of the Vivian Webb Chapel.

The all-school Convocation was held this year at the Crossroads in front of the Alamo Archway.

Mr. Stockdale addressed the student body and welcomed everyone to the start of the 2012-2013 school year.
