    Webb Baseball Into CIF 2nd Round

    Webb baseball continued its dominance last week with a tight 4-3 win over Windward in CIF play. Webb, which shares the Prep League title again this year, moves on to a second round home match up on Tuesday, May 21 at 3:15 p.m. with Frontier League powerhouse Carpinteria. The team enters post-season play this year with a 19-4 record and ranked third in CIF Southern Section, Division 6. Webb's varsity is again coached by Jeff Stodgel and junior varsity by teacher and alumnus Will Allan '94.

  • Swimming and Diving Teams Finish Strong in League Finals, Qualify for CIF

    The VWS and WSC swim teams topped off a great season this past weekend at League Finals. Nearly every swimmer achieved a personal record, and several team members qualified for CIF.   • Golf Wins 1st Ever League Championship!

    **UPDATE** For the first time in current Webb history, the varsity golf team has won the Prep League Championship. Capitalizing on strong all-around play from the entire team, the Webb Gauls outshot both Pasadena Poly and Buckley High in a three-way playoff on Monday afternoon at Pacific Palms Country Club. The first round of CIF tournament play begins Monday, May 6.

  • Top of the Podium for Lantz at SoCon Championship

    Davidson junior Andrew Lantz '10 topped the podium twice on April 21, winning the 800m and 1500m events at the 2013 SoCon Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Georgia. He becomes Davidson's first ever two-time 800m run champion and the fourth 1500m run champion.

  • Andrew Lantz '10 Named SoCon Men's Athlete of the Week

    Davidson junior Andrew Lantz '10 has been named SoCon Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week, after winning the 800m at the UNC Charlotte 49er Classic with a school record, conference and nation leading time of 1:50.25. This was a personal best for Andrew by six tenths of a second! Go Gauls!

  • Chapman Freshman Geleris '12 and VB Team Headed to Nationals in Dallas

    March 21, 2013

    In his first year with the Panthers, Ben Geleris '12 and the Chapman University's Men's Volleyball Team are heading to Dallas for the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation's national championship tournament, April 4-6, 2013. The team qualified by making it to the finals of the Southern California Collegiate Volleyball League tournament in Anaheim on March 16. The Chapman team, which formed just one year ago, is currently ranked fifth in the nation for NCAA Division II club volleyball.

    Following on the heels of Webb’s National Signing Day ceremony honoring current athletes, comes the exciting news of a Webb alumnus excelling in his sport. Harrison Holmes ’11 has been named Volleyball Player of the Week by the Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) for the week of January 27-February 3. Harrison plays for Sarah Lawrence College as an outside hitter.

  • Herring '07 Named Director of Basketball Operations at Stony Brook

    Stony Brook University has named Christina Herring '07 its new Director of Basketball Operations. Herring graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 2011 and she helped lead the women's basketball team to its first ever Division III National Tournament. She was a four-year letter-winner with the Pioneers and the team captain in her senior year. Stony Brook competes at the NCAA Division I level.
