    Freshman Peccary Trip Highlights

    One of the great traditions of the Alf Museum is the Freshman Peccary Trip, when all Webb freshmen try their hands at fossil collecting. Over the past two weekends (first with the VWS trip and then the WSC trip), our crew continued to add to this rich record of California's past life.

    The following @Webblog is a collection of journal entries from Melanie Bauman, Director of Counseling at The Webb Schools. Ms. Bauman, Dr. Tracy Miller, and Mr. Jon Fidani chaperoned fifteen students to Comanesti, Romania during Spring Break in order to help Habitat for Humanity construct apartments for those in need. A 2010 recipient of a Perry Award, Ms. Bauman traveled to Macedonia and worked with Habitat for Humanity on a service project.

  • Listen! (new video series) (part two)

    Back in October, I posted the first in what will be a plentiful series of videos of student musicians at Webb. In the previous series, I had this idea to bring the musicians outside of their normal rehearsal spaces and have them perform somewhere on Webb’s 72-acre campus. This plan works really well when dealing with a violinist and a banjo player – not so much with a harpist and two pianists. Regardless of their location, I am happy to once again present a nice diversion from the everyday with two more videos of Webb students.
