  • Janel Henriksen Hastings '87

    President, Janel Henriksen Hastings '87

    Janel Henriksen Hastings ’87 earned her BA in Sociology from Scripps College, MA in Student Affairs Administration from Stanford University and PhD in Higher Education from UCLA. At Webb, she participated in theater, Chamber Singers, and the Mighty Upstaging Players’ Society (MUPS). Janel is the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Research at Harvey Mudd College. She also serves on the Board of Trustees at Foothill Country Day and on the Alumnae Leadership Council for Scripps College. Janel joined our Alumni Council in 2006, and has been serving as President for the past three years. In 2012 she joined Webb's Board of Trustees. She lives in La Verne, California with her husband Glen Hastings and their two children.

  • Jose Govea '74, Vice President

    Vice President, Jose Govea '74

    Jose Govea ’74 taught in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 22 years, and is now an area representative for United Teachers Los Angeles. While at Webb, Jose was an avid member of the chess team and a committeeman for the school’s newspaper. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Member since 2005.

  • Laurie Lundin '90

    Director, Laurie Lundin '90

    Laurie Lundin ’90 earned a Bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University and a Master’s in Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. She currently works as a residential mortgage consultant for Kennedy Capital Corporation. Member since 2007.

  • Coleen Martinez '86

    Director, Coleen Martinez '86

    Coleen Martinez ’86 earned her BA in Spanish from Pitzer College and MA in Education from Claremont Graduate School. For the past seven years, Coleen has worked as a second grade teacher at Foothill Country Day School. She currently resides in Upland, California with her husband, Hector Martinez, Director of College Guidance at The Webb Schools. Member since 2001.

  • Jim Hall '59

    Director, Jim Hall '59

    Jim Hall ’59 is a Physiology and Biophysics professor at UC Irvine, School of Medicine. In 1994, he was named a Fellow of American Association for the Advancement of Science, an honor bestowed upon him by his peers for meritorious contributions to science. Jim received a BA from Pomona College, a PhD in Physics from UC Riverside, and a post doctorate degree in biology and biophysics from Caltech. While at Webb, Jim was Student Body President, an honor committeeman, and the co-editor of El Espejo. He also played football, basketball, and baseball. Jim resides in Laguna Beach, California with his wife. Member since 2004.

  • Ken Colborn '47

    Member at Large, Ken Colborn '47

    Ken Colborn ’47 has served on the Alumni Council for more than 20 years. While at Webb, Ken was the editor of the El Espejo, an honor committeeman, and a member of the football and tennis teams. He went on to enlist in the Navy, ultimately retiring after 24 years of honorable service. Currently, Ken is working for DCX-CHOL Enterprises as an engineering and sales consultant. In his spare time, Ken handcrafts Adirondack chairs for Webb. He has given more than 60 chairs to the school, including two dozen for the Upper Dorms courtyard for students to enjoy. For the past six years, he has also made ones for every new faculty child on campus.

  • Member at Large, Chip Greening '62

    Chip Greening '62 is new to the Council this year. He resides in Portland, Oregon, with his wife Toni. Chip received his BA and JD from Stanford University. He has been an active volunteer for many years, serving as a class agent and reunion chair. The Class of '62 celebrated their 50th reunion in October.

  • Dwight Morgan '65

    Member at Large, Dwight Morgan '65

    Dwight Morgan ’65 is formerly an Area Communications Technician for Southern California Edison Company. He is now retired and enjoys traveling and participating in a car club for Chevy SSR convertible owners. While at Webb, Dwight was an avid member of the Camera Club, the peccary society, and the theater stage crew. Although he graduated from another high school, Dwight greatly appreciated his time at Webb. He joined the Alumni Council in 2005.

  • Member at Large, Doug Gregg '66

    Doug Gregg '66 is a longtime supporter of Webb and a past reunion chair. He resides in Carlsbad with his wife Christine. Doug was a Deputy District Attorney for the County of San Diego, until his retirement in 2008. He attended USC for his undergrad and received his JD from California Western Law. At Webb, Doug was a member of the choir for four years (under the direction of Bill Blanchard '51), and a member of the folk singing group, New Essex Three. He was also an active member of Block W, playing varsity tennis for three years, JV football, and varsity football. This is Doug's first year on the Council. Welcome aboard!

  • Bill Halstead '67

    Member at Large, Bill Halstead '67

    Bill Halstead ’67 has held the titles of vice president for Dean Witter Company, vice president of Morgan Olmstead Kennedy & Gardner Capital, and vice president of Bateman Eichler, Hill Richards. While at Webb, Bill played football, ran track, and sang for the glee club. He later served in the US Army and graduated from UC Santa Barbara where he majored in Law and Society and minored in Economics. Bill is retired and splitting his time living in Pine Mountain Club, California and Prescott, Arizona.

  • Member at Large, Sandra Lee Rebish '88

    Sandra Lee Rebish '88 is a dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon. She and her husband Dr. Jeff Rebish have their own practice, Skin Physicians and Surgeons, in Upland, California. Sandra holds a BA from UCLA and an MD from Hahnemann University Medical School in Pennsylvania. She is a regular contributor on Studio11/LA, a daily newscast on FOX 11, where she discusses the latest advancements in dermatology and cosmetic surgery. Sandra and Jeff reside in Upland with their two sons. This is her first year on the Council.

  • Lee Lee Choi '90

    Member at Large, Lee Lee Choi '90

    Lee Lee Choi ’90 has worked with middle school children for the past 17 years, serving first as a teacher and currently as a principal in the Torrance Unified School District. While at Webb, Lee was a member of the Honor Cabinet, the Dorm Council, and the Student Council. She went on to attend Occidental College where she received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Member since 2008.

  • Rahmi Mowjood '90

    Member at Large, Rahmi Mowjood '90

    Rahmi Mowjood ’90 graduated from Claremont McKenna with a dual degree in pre-medical sciences and theater. He went onto Western University Health Sciences and completed his medical training at College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. In the wake of the tsunami in Southeast Asia, Rahmi traveled back to his native Sri Lanka to help treat those affected by the devastation. He currently runs his own family medicine practice in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Member since 2010.

  • Renee Polanco '94

    Renee Polanco ’94 is currently working for the Los Angeles Unified School District as a teacher for deaf and hard of hearing students and pursuing her doctorate in special education at UCLA. She graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Psychology and from USC with a MA in education. While at Webb, Renee was a member of the Dorm Council, the Honor Cabinet and the cross country team. She is currently residing in Los Angeles, California. Member since 2010.

  • Preston Clarke '98

    Preston Clarke ’98 graduated from Wheaton College with a BA in Economics and earned his MBA from the University of Arizona. He is an Associate at the CIC Group, an investment group based in Arizona and the COO of Matador Network an online travel magazine and journalism school. While at Webb, Preston was a dorm prefect and a member of the varsity soccer, swim, and water polo teams. He currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona. Member since 2009.

    Ruchika Chandiok Rastogi ’97 earned a BA in Science and Management from Claremont McKenna and an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business. While at Webb, Ruchika was a member of the varsity tennis team and the Honor Cabinet. Ruchika works in Strategy & Business Development at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, CA. She lives in Orange County with her husband Bobby and twin daughters. Member since 2004.

    Regional Representative, San Francisco, Jessica Anand '05

    Jessica Anand ’05 graduated from Wellesley College with a BA in Political Science. She currently works for Brilliant Earth, a diamond company based in San Francisco. Member since 2011.

  • Lisa Miller '89

    Regional Representative, Los Angeles, Lisa Miller '89

    Lisa Miller ’89 is the Vice President of West Region Marketing for Northern Trust. At Webb, Lisa was a member of the yearbook staff and soccer team. She attended the University of Southern California where she earned both a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and a Master’s of Fine Arts. She is the Past President of the Junior League of Los Angeles and she is active with Luminaries Juniors, Juniors of Social Service, and the Beverly Hills Women’s Club. Member since 2003.

  • Julia Marciari-Alexander '85

    Regional Representative, San Diego, Julia Marciari-Alexander '85

    Julia Marciari-Alexander '85 is the deputy director of curatorial affairs at the San Diego Museum of Art. She received her BA from Wellesley and an MA and MPhil from Yale University. Julia has been a longtime supporter and active volunteer, serving as a class agent and reunion chair. This is her first year on the Council.

  • Regional Representative, Portland, Jason Blackwell '91

    Jason Blackwell '91 is new to the Council this year. He is the Operations Manager for the Portland Center for the Performing Arts. He previously worked for the San Francisco Ballet. Jason received his bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley.

  • Regional Representative, Boston, Lily Chen '04

    Lily Chen ’04 is a Portfolio Manager Associate at Eaton Vance, a financial company in Boston, MA. After graduating from Webb, she received her BA in Mathematics and Psychology from Bryn Mawr College and completed her Master’s Degree in Mathematical Finance at Boston University. As a student, Lily was a Dorm Council member for South Hutch and was active on the swimming and water polo teams. Member since 2011.

  • Andy Chai '97

    Regional Representative, New York, Andy Chai '97

    Andy Chai ’97 earned his BS in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He started his career in equity research at Merrill Lynch and transitioned into credit trading at Swiss Re. Andy currently works as a corporate bond trader at the Royal Bank of Scotland and is a CFA charter holder. Member since 2002.

  • Regional Representative, Philadelphia, Katherine Kilmer '10

    Katherine Kilmer '10 is a junior at Bryn Mawr College. She is currently in Greece studying abroad. Katherine looks forward to keeping the alumni community in the Philadelphia area connected. Katherine joined the Council in 2012.

  • David Ivey-Soto '82

    Regional Representative, Washington, DC, David Ivey-Soto '82

    David Ivey-Soto ’82 received an AOS from the Culinary Institute of America and a M.B.A. from the College of William & Mary. He is currently working as an executive chef and managing partner at Chef David Industries. He is also the former National Secretary for the American Culinary Federation. Member since 2003.

  • Young Alumni Regional Representative, Washington, DC, Amy Teachout '04

    Amy Aminah Teachout '04 works at John Snow, Inc. on the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT. She graduated from American University in 2008 with a BA in Political Science, and will receive her MPA in International Management from George Mason University this year. She also works part-time at Busboys & Poets, a progressive DC restaurant and multipurpose gathering space, and volunteers as a literacy teacher. Member since 2011.

  • Regional Representative, New Orleans, Albert Walsh '00

    Albert Walsh '00 is new to the Council this year. He received his bachelor's from UC Santa Barbara. Albert is a partner of Bastion Developments, LLC, a construction company in New Orleans, Louisiana. Albert and his wife Jordan Shay are also the owners of Castle Rock Ranch Camp in Kingston, Idaho. Albert has many family members who attended Webb: his sister Kate Garrett '02 and brother Robert '04; and his cousins Lawrence Tollenaere '03, Anna Simle '05 and Matt Abrams '10.

  • Joseph Poon '88

    Regional Representative, Hong Kong, Joseph Poon '88

    Joseph Poon ’88 is an entrepreneur who started a number of companies in engineering, software development and energy. He graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from University of Southern California. This is his second year on the Council.

  • Regional Representative, Taiwan, Jimmy Hsieh '89

    Jimmy Hsieh '89 is the founding partner of VANON Capital Partners, based in Taipei. He is married with two daughters. He has a bachelor's in economics from UC Berkeley. Previously he was Head of Equities in Taiwan for Citigroup Global Markets and he also worked for Salomon Smith Barney. This is his first year on the Council.

  • Steve Lesse '76

    Immediate Past President, Steve Lesse '76

    Steve Lesse ’76 served on the Alumni Council as President for four years and as Member-at-large for two. He has also been a class agent, a phonathon volunteer, and a faculty member for Webb. Steve currently lives with his wife and two daughters in Sierra Madre, California. Member since 2003.
