Hooper Community Center

Originally a gym built in the late 1930s and then a student center, the building will reopen as the Hooper Community Center in the late spring/early summer of 2020. Major renovations planned include new entrances to the building on the north and south sides, air conditioning, improved lighting, installation of a community café, creation of new and enhanced community gathering spaces, improved technology for campus and student events, a new student services center, and completely new furnishings. The design work on this historically significant building is being completed by the architectural firm of Page & Turnbull—the firm we partnered with to reimagine our Mudd Auditorium into the Susan A. Nelson Performing Arts Center.
