VWS Soccer
Soccer is one of the most successful athletic teams at Webb, displaying a dynamic and energetic mindset. Each athlete is encouraged to develop personal goals, building upon them to create a cohesive, powerful squad. VWS soccer won league championships in 2017, 2019, 2020, 2022 – when it also won the CIF Division 5 title and the state regional title – and in 2023.

Coaching team
Coach Mbengue is a lifetime soccer player who has coached for 15 years. He was recognized as Academy League Coach of the Year in 2019 and 2020, and was named VWS Coach of the Year in 2019. After the team’s undefeated 2021-22 season, Mbengue was named San Joaquin League Coach of the Year and Inland Empire Coach of the Year. Mbengue, who teaches French at Webb, admires students who are equally passionate about what they are learning as they are about being part of a community that shares their interests.
