Webb’s wrestling program includes both boys and girls who are interested in competing based on weight class. The team practices and competes in the Les Perry Gymnasium on Webb’s campus.

Hailing from a family of Iowa wrestlers, Coach Hansen started to grapple in sixth grade and was a three-year varsity letter earner at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs, Florida. He wrestled three seasons in freestyle clubs before traveling with a club team at Florida State University. He has coached clubs and teams in Minnesota and the Kingdom of Jordan, as well as at St. Paul’s School for Boys in Brooklandville, Maryland. Hansen also teaches at The Webb Schools.
In 2021-22, Hansen led his wrestlers to second place in league while also earning CIF all academic honors. Ten of his athletes also qualified for CIF playoffs this past season. Hansen and the wrestling team create a culture where every athlete grows into greater confidence, skill, strength, positivity, camaraderie and knowledge of the sport.
