Professional focus: I hold a B.S. in mathematics from the University of La Verne, where I also studied computer science. I previously worked at Eisenhower High School in Rialto, where I developed a course in data science. I teach Integrated Math I and Precalculus, but I love all levels of math. I am also an assistant coach for cross country.

Scholarly or professional activities: I attended a pair of teaching institutes staged in July 2022 at Boston University by The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) for new boarding school teachers. NowBoarding addressed the culture and traditions of boarding schools while the New Teacher Institute focused on instruction and classroom management.

Grew up: Basking Ridge, New Jersey, but I am a 20-year-plus resident of the Claremont area.

Favorite spot at Webb: The Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology. I’ve been coming with my daughter since she was a toddler carrying her favorite board book about dinosaurs.

Favorite music or musician/band: I listen to a wide variety of music, but gravitate back toward 90s alternative rock. U2, Johnny Cash and Otis Redding are some of my favorite artists.

Favorite book or author: The Power of One, by Bryce Courtenay

Favorite TV show or movie: It varies, but lately I’ve been enjoying Ted Lasso and old Frasier episodes.

Typical Saturday routine: Get up early, run a bunch of miles (preferably on some beautiful trails), then get chores done that I put off all week and spend time with my family. Family time might include a hike with our two dogs, building LEGO sets with my daughter, playing board games or family movie night.
