Professional focus: I hold a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology with a minor in Latinx studies from Cornell University. I am currently pursuing an MCA from Western Governor’s University. At Webb, I help lead the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team as well as teach in the Humanities Department.

Scholarly or professional activities: I attended a pair of teaching institutes staged in July 2022 at Boston University by The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) for new boarding school teachers. NowBoarding addressed the culture and traditions of boarding schools while the New Teacher Institute focused on instruction and classroom management.

Grew up: Los Angeles and Santa Maria, California

Favorite spot at Webb: Stockdale Community Center

Favorite music or musician/band: Old salsa, boleros, cumbia, vallenato, spanish rock, classic rock and soul/funk. 

Favorite book or author: The Glass Castle” by Jeanette Walls among many, many others.

Favorite TV show or movie: “Amelie”

Typical Saturday routine: Exploring Southern California as much as I can!
