Professional focus: I teach Evolutionary Biology and Medicinal Chemistry. I’ve previously taught AP Environmental Science. I also serve as Webb’s director of equity. I am a dedicated diversity, equity and inclusion practitioner with over 20 years of educational experience.

Scholarly or professional activities: In summer 2022, I engaged in affinity group facilitator training and other training focused on leading DEI efforts. I have taken students on multiple field study and service trips to Hawaii, the Galapagos and Rwanda. Since joining Webb in 2018, I have partnered with my fellow faculty and staff members to bring Webb students to the People of Color and Student Diversity Leadership Conferences, sponsored multiple efforts to strengthen the Webb community and support the campus Empowering Student Voices Initiative and Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) affinity groups. I am currently part of the Asian Educator Alliance, POCIS Withdrawal Support Group. I also volunteer at Purpose Church, including tutoring and serving homeless ministry.
