In addition to my focus on math, I am avid about the outdoors. I have been a Wilderness First Responder since 2017. In 2017, I earned my EMT certification. In 2018, I earned my teaching certification, qualifying me as a wilderness First Aid instructor. I have taught four classes in this area for Webb students, faculty and staff.

On a personal level, in summer 2021, I completed the John Muir trail, hiking from Yosemite National Park to the summit of Mt. Whitney, a journey of more than 200 miles. My two goals were to swim and catch a fish each day – and they were both achieved.
