Professional focus: I teach history, humanities and creative writing, This year, I am teaching Advanced Studies Creative Nonfiction, Advanced Studies Age of Enlightenment and Foundations of Civilization. Next year, it will be East Asian History & Culture and Creative Writing. I am also a weight room coach and the lead class advisor for the Vivian Webb School Class of 2022.

Scholarly or professional activities: I earned an MFA in creative writing from UC Riverside Palm Desert in June 2020 and have taken several writing classes for fun.

Grew up: San Diego as a kid, Los Angeles as a teenager and college student

Favorite spot at Webb: The weight room feels like home.

Favorite book or author: My favorite authors include Haruki and Ryu Murakami, Tananarive Due, Max Barry, Carmen Maria Machado, Kelly Link.

Favorite TV show or movie: I’m a huge fan of several Edgar Wright movies, especially Baby Driver, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Hot Fuzz.
