Professional focus: I am Webb’s Science Department chair. I teach a number of classes in the department. In fall 2022, I will be teaching Honors Microbiology & Immunology as well as Advanced Studies Biotechnology. My field of study is biochemistry, molecular biology, research methods, biology, inorganic chemistry. I also coach outdoor activities.

Scholarly or professional activities: Wilderness first responder, solo camping/boondocking, rock climbing, training for the AIDS bike ride, DIY home improvement

Grew up: Florida, Maryland x 2, Alabama, New York, Massachusetts and California (in that order)

Favorite spot at Webb: The museum, followed by any fire pit with friends

Favorite music or musician: Old school R&B

Favorite book or author: Life of Pi

Favorite TV show or movie: most recent favorites – My Octopus Teacher, Free Solo

Saturday routine: Most Saturdays I have a plan – beach, rock climbing, hike – so no routine except wake up, coffee and go.
