Class of 2022 Receives Early College Acceptances

Webb is pleased to announce that, so far, nearly half the members of the Class of 2022 have received early acceptance to some of the nation’s top colleges – including Stanford, Caltech, MIT and all five Claremont Colleges.

“We knew our Class of 2022 was going to be one of our strongest classes – they have had that reputation since freshman year – and now early college admission decisions are exceeding even those lofty expectations,” said Hector Martinez, Webb’s dean of college guidance.

“A big congratulations to all of our students for an amazing job,” Martinez said.

The Webb Schools have a record of achieving 100 percent college acceptance for graduates of the Webb School of California, founded in 1922, and Vivian Webb School, founded in 1981. The program focuses on finding colleges and universities that provide the best fit for student interests.

The Webb Schools garnered national attention in October after announcing a planned estate gift in excess of $100 million. Webb is one of just four independent high schools to receive such a gift and the only one west of the Mississippi. In November, the schools recorded another historic gift – an $8.4 million cash gift for scholarships. This gift is the largest-ever cash gift received by the schools.
