Rotary Club recognizes Webb students’ good character

Webb is proud to share that today, the Rotary Club of Claremont recognized the good character of eight current students with the Americanism in Action and American Heritage awards.

The Americanism in Action award commends 9th and 10th graders who exemplify the ten marks of a good citizen listed by Rotary International, including consciousness of local and global affairs, peer leadership, honesty, fairness, sincerity, courtesy, and setting a good example for youth.

The American Heritage award honors 11th and 12th graders who excel in American history and government courses and contribute to the school community.

Webb alum, long-term Webb faculty, and Rotary Club member Rick Whyte ’57 initiated these awards recognizing students. This year’s awards—the first since 2019—were recommenced by fellow Webb alum and Rotary member Cameron Troxell ’80.
