VIDEO: Unwind with Webb featuring Ben Davis ’11

Guitarist and songwriter Ben Davis ’11 kicked off our new virtual concert series Unwind with Webb on August 28 with hosts Kathy Fredrich ’02 from the Alumni Council and Laura Wensley, Alumni Director. Ben performed selections from his debut album, Postcards from Self Quarantine, and was joined on guitar and vocals by Andrew Sandoval.

Ben earned his B.A. in Music from the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California. He has performed and recorded throughout the west coast with various artists. After a two-year performing hiatus spent in rural Arizona, Ben returned to Southern California to focus on solo projects. All but one song from Postcards from Self Quarantine was written, recorded, and performed solely by Ben Davis. His musical influences are Wilco, Leif Vollebeck, Grant Green, Steely Dan, and too many more to list.

Ben performs under the name Marsh Davis. You can listen to him on:

Here’s a recording of the virtual concert which includes a clip from Ben’s video for Wrong Place, Right Time, Q&A, and a sneak peak of an unreleased song.
