Webb’s Cafe 1175 Opens to Fanfare
Webb’s Hooper Community Center was abuzz this week with the opening of Café 1175 – the final element of the renovated gathering place at the heart of the campus. The café opening had been slowed by pandemic concerns and the need to get the menu and operations “just right,” according to Dean of Student Life Ken Rosenfeld.
Students, faculty and staff flocked to the grand opening and ordered copious amounts of agua fresca, espresso and lattes. The café will be open several days a week with a rotating menu of snacks and drinks until the end of the school year.
