A lifelong resident of Southern California, Dr. Jamila Everett joined the Webb Admission Office after 17 years in admission leadership roles at Pitzer College, Caltech and the University of Southern California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Master of Arts in Communication Management from USC’s Annenberg School of Communication. Jamila earned her Doctorate of Education at UCLA. Her program focused on research and leadership principles to improve practices throughout the K-16 educational continuum. Jamila leads the Admission office in developing practices for recruitment, application review, and financial aid. Jamila loves the social and intellectual energy of the Fawcett Library at Webb and the overall dedication to innovation and unbounded thinking by students and faculty. In her spare time, Jamila enjoys spending quality time with her large extended family and friends, enjoying the California sunshine at outdoor concerts, and cooking and exploring food culture in Los Angeles.
Amara Berry ’12 truly embodies what it means to think boldly, mindfully and creatively. In October 2017, she was invited to give a Tedx Talk in Providence, Rhode Island, where she spoke on the legacy of her grandparents, how their work inspired her and the incredible work she is doing with our youth through The Sparkle Program.
We are pleased and excited to announce the appointment of Jennifer Liu as Webb’s Director of Parent Relations and Special Events effective November 1. In this position, Liu will oversee our parent relations program, which serves more than 750 current parents worldwide and an active volunteer network through our Affiliates parent organization.
