A lifelong resident of Southern California, Dr. Jamila Everett joined the Webb Admission Office after 17 years in admission leadership roles at Pitzer College, Caltech and the University of Southern California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Master of Arts in Communication Management from USC’s Annenberg School of Communication. Jamila earned her Doctorate of Education at UCLA. Her program focused on research and leadership principles to improve practices throughout the K-16 educational continuum. Jamila leads the Admission office in developing practices for recruitment, application review, and financial aid. Jamila loves the social and intellectual energy of the Fawcett Library at Webb and the overall dedication to innovation and unbounded thinking by students and faculty. In her spare time, Jamila enjoys spending quality time with her large extended family and friends, enjoying the California sunshine at outdoor concerts, and cooking and exploring food culture in Los Angeles. Jamila lives on campus with her husband Vic.
