David Martinsen

Born and raised as a TCK (Third Culture Kid) in Guatemala, Central America, David comes to The Webb Schools with eight years of college admission experience, having served his last appointment at Villanova University. Being no stranger to boarding schools, he spent his first eight years of life at a small boarding school located in the highlands of Guatemala where his parents served as dorm parents and faculty. After graduating high school in Guatemala, David earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music at The Master’s College and Master of Arts in Education at Pepperdine University. In his spare time, David enjoys visiting the national parks in the US, hiking, riding anything on two wheels, and serving as a sous chef to his wife (who is a wonderful cook). He and his wife are the proud pet parents of Homer and Johnny, two black rescue cats whom they adopted from a shelter in Texas. David’s favorite place on campus is the dining hall where he enjoys eating chocolate and drinking lemonade, finding that good conversation shared over delicious food demonstrates the strong sense of community at Webb.

  • The Week @ Webb - Together in January

    Scott Nichols
The Week @ Webb is a periodic photojournal of events on and off Webb's campus. Did it feel like January lasted 31,000 days instead of just 31? I know that for me, it's important to spend as much time as I can with other people when life gets really busy. We all do better when we surround ourselves with friends and family and that's what I tried to capture in this latest gallery.
