Wendin Smith '89 is the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. A graduate of Dartmouth College, she received her PhD and Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Wendin is a consultant and lecturer in combating WMD, national security, nonproliferation, environmental security, and related fields. "I look forward to giving back to the Webb community, with a focus on ensuring that the schools continue to develop a cadre of leaders with the skills to think boldly, mindfully, and creatively, and to set forth on paths of distinction. It is an honor to be asked to serve, and I am eager to work closely with the faculty, staff, students, and alumni in the years ahead."
