WSC Golf Season Preview

Frank Dariano
Five of them played on the team last year and five of them are new.  Three of the new guys are “freshman who are very promising players,” says Head Coach Andrew Neyer. “All of the guys have been very enthusiastic and always want to play right up until the sun sets.”

Webb graduated quite a few solid players last year and one of the team’s biggest challenges will be filling their shoes - especially with such a young team.  “I'm hoping to play the freshman as much as I can so they get a lot of experience in a competitive setting,” says Neyer. He says he will rely heavily on Dillon Kim ‘17 and RJ Duque ‘17 to bring leadership to the team.  Both seniors have played all four years and will be the Gauls’ number one and number two players this season.  Neyer has paired each of them with freshmen in early competition “so they could show them how everything works during a match.”
