Fall Sports Honorees by the Inland Empire Daily Bulletin
Webb Senior Mitchell Fargo ’17 was named to the first team. The 2016 Academy League MVP led the Gauls with 122 goals, 72 draws, and 98 steals. Fargo was the only Webb player selected to the Daily Bulletin’s 2016-17 all-area boys’ water polo team. Fargo won Webb’s Tim Quinn award in recognition of his tenacity, toughness, and devotion to his sport.
Webb senior Apollo Thomas was recognized recently as an honorable mention on the Daily’ Bulletin’s 2016 all-area football team. As one of the Gauls’ team captains, Thomas excelled as both a defensive end and tight end in 2016. He led Webb’s defense in 2016 with 137 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and an astonishing 14.5 sacks. Thomas also caught six touchdowns and had over 400 yards receiving. Apollo was named first team all-San Joaquin League and won the Don Harcourt award as Webb football’s Most Valuable Player for 2016. He will be one of five Webb seniors to play at the inaugural 215 Football Classic All-Star Game on January 29th. This fall, Thomas will continue his football career as he has recently committed to playing for Pomona-Pitzer.
The Webb Schools is pleased to offer a live stream for both the Vivian Webb School and Webb School of California Commencement Ceremonies on June 2, 2018. The events are available below, and will be concurrently streaming on Webb's Facebook page as well as the schools' Livestream.com page.
While the tickets to see the upcoming production of Les Misérables sold out in a matter of minutes, The Webb Schools is pleased to announce a livestream of the Friday May 18th performance will be available on the school's website and Facebook page. The performance will begin at 7:00pm PDT.
Webb swimmers finished their 2018 season in championship style last week. The rundown: two days, two proud coaches (Ken Rosenfeld & Tom Jurczak), seven broken/re-broken school records, and one Vivian Webb CIF champion (the first individual swimming CIF champion in VWS history)!
