Please join Taylor and Anne Stockdale and Don Lofgren in Washington D.C. on Wednesday evening, April 12 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lincoln Restaurant on Vermont, Ave. Both Taylor and Don will bring good news from campus and the Alf Museum.     In an expose of sorts, one pegged to the publication of Gary Alan Fine’s new book Talking Art (U of Chicago Press, 2018), Charlie Tyson explores the facts and fictions surrounding MFA programs in the visual arts in America. A review of Fine’s book finds that seven of the 10 most expensive higher-education institutions in the U.S. are, in fact, art schools. But is it worth it?
