Webb School of California Varsity Baseball Coach Jeff Stodgel had a historical start to April. The Gauls’ 1-0 win over Rio Hondo Prep on April 3rd gave Coach Stodgel 100 career wins as Webb head coach. The game featured a two-hit, complete game shutout performance by starting pitcher Wyatt Albert ’17. Adrian Alvarez ’17 had the game’s lone RBI, which came in the 5th inning, to give Webb the lead for good.
After the game, Coach Stodgel gave much of the credit for his 100 wins to the players and staff he has worked with over the years. He especially noted Brian Killian, who has been on his staff for every game since Stodgel became the head coach in 2010.
“Jeff has done a tremendous job with the team and his influence on the program and its upward trajectory since he took over cannot be overstated,” says Webb Athletic Director Steve Wishek.
Congratulations Jeff for this tremendous milestone win!

It’s November 2nd and the College Guidance office is quiet this morning—nothing like the last few days when countless numbers of panicked seniors were popping in to get their essays looked at one last time before pressing “submit.”
