William Ruddick '49 is Professor of Philosophy, Arthur Zitrin Professor of Bioethics, Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry, and Director of the NYU Center for Bioethics. He specializes in bioethics and he has numerous articles published on the subject. He received his AB from Princeton Universtiy, MA from Oxford, and PhD from Harvard University.
The Ruddick family has a long history with Webb. Bill's father was a trustee and Board President in the late 1950s and for whom the Ruddick Room is named.
