Hon. John A. “Jack” Sutro, Jr. ’53 is a retired Superior Court Judge for Marin County, California. Since his appointment to the Superior Court bench in 1993, Sutro has served in every judicial assignment: criminal, civil, family law, probate and juvenile. He was twice elected Presiding Judge and served for a number of years as a member of the Marin Court’s Appellate Division.
Sutro received his bachelor's degree from Stanford University and law degree from Harvard University. He was a member of Webb's Board of Trustees from 1976 to 1984 and again in 1998 to 2009.
