Michael S. Moore '60

Michael S. Moore '60 is an artist who has exhibited throughout the United States for over six decades. He received his BFA from Stanford University and attended Yale's Graduate School of Art and Architecture.

Moore has had solo exhibitions at Stanford University Art Gallery, the Oats Park Art Center in Fallon, Nevada, the Center for Contemporary Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and numerous galleries in San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles. His work can be found in the collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Stanford University, the Oakland Museum, Mills College Art Gallery, The Athenaeum Music and Arts Library in La Jolla, the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, Nevada and many private collections.

Moore's recent book "Auto Biographies" covers drawings and reflections from 1973 to 2013. A copy of this publication is available through Fawcett Library.

Moore is married to artist and sculptor Linda Fleming. In July 2013 their joint exhibit, Making Places, was on display in the Munoz Waxman Gallery at the Center for Contemporary Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

  • Winter Sports Round-Up & Honors 2018

    Once again, Webb athletes had a strong showing across the board during the 2018 winter season. Led by WSC soccer, which finished the season League Champions and with a deep run into CIF, both VWS and WSC athletics posted very positive results. VWS Water Polo also finished its league play in second place.
    “It is always great each season to not only see our athletes and teams be successful on the field of play, but to see them learn and grow as individuals and part of a community,” said Director of Athletics Steve Wishek.
