Blake Johnson '95 is a Los Angeles based entrepreneur who has successfully started and sold a variety of businesses for a combined $115 million. Both Currency Capital and IM Capital Access (companies in which he was the chairman and founder), were named on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Best Places to Work, and several of his ventures have landed him on the Inc 500/5000 list of fastest growing privately held companies. His new venture, BYTE, launches in August 2018.
In addition to his entrepreneurial undertakings, Johnson is a dedicated Webb School alumnus and participates in many other philanthropic endeavors. These include Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Boy Scouts of America (achieving Eagle Scout status in his youth), the International Justice Mission, and MOCA Los Angeles. Johnson currently lives in Pacific Palisades with his wife, daughter, and son.
