The Alumni Office wishes to thank the 688 alumni who took part in the online survey conducted between March 15 to 31, 2017. Responses were gathered to assist with research for Webb's accreditation with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Respondants represented 72% WSC alumni and 28% VWS alumnae, with strong participation from nine decades of alumni from classes spanning 1937 to 2016.
Ninety-seven percent of alumni polled stated that the quality of education they received at Webb was excellent or good, while 2% indicated that it was fair or poor.
Academics, faculty, and college preparation were the top three most important areas among alumni.
Alumni rated the Webb magazine and emails from the Alumni Office as the best ways to keep them connected to Webb, followed by Alumni Weekend and reunions, the website, and networking with other alumni. The top social media network among alumni polled was Facebook, followed by LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter.
Regarding the most important aspects of an alumnus/a's affiliation to Webb, 94% indicated they were either very or somewhat proud to have attended. Another 86% stated that staying in touch with classmates was very or somewhat important to them.
Regarding affinity for their alma mater, 89% of respondants stated that they promote Webb to others either all the time, regularly or occasionally. Additionally 80% indicated that they are likely or highly likely to support Webb in the next 1-3 years.
Head of Schools Taylor Stockdale was pleased with the feedback: "As we look ahead to our 100-year anniversary in 5 years, the positive and constructive input from our entire community is so beneficial in helping us chart our course."
