According to the American Academic of Pediatrics, middle and high school starts times should be 8:30 a.m. or later. The sleep patterns of American adolescents was the topic of recent national conference where experts seemed to be in wide agreement--teenagers need more sleep, and sleep times that fit with their own biology.
