Colleges Accept Fewer Transfer Students

If transferring into a selective private college or university was once easy to do, it isn't anymore. According to data from the National Center for Education Studies, in the fall of 2015, Stanford enrolled just 15 transfer students, Yale, 24, Georgetown 186 and Princeton 0. There were a few schools according to the Los Angeles Times, like USC, that accepted larger numbers (just over 1,500 students at USC)--about 800 from community college programs. In fact, for a decade now, USC has recruited "heavily" from community colleges in California and elsewhere.
