Rahmi Mowjood ‘90 most recently served as president of the Alumni Council of The Webb Schools. He currently lives in Alta Loma, California with his family and is a partner at Cucamonga Valley Medical Group with offices in Upland, North and Central Fontana, Eastvale and Pomona.
After attending Webb, Mowjood graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a dual degree in pre-medical sciences and theater. He went onto Western University Health Sciences and completed his medical training at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. In the wake of the tsunami in Southeast Asia, he traveled back to his native Sri Lanka to help treat those affected by the devastation.
Sponsored by the Robert ’53 and MeiLi Hefner Foundation and offered here at Webb to two current students, The Hefner Initiative aims to foster a close and positive relationship between the people of China and the US. This extraordinary 12-day summer program includes travel this year to Beijing and Suzhou—allowing for living/learning opportunities with host students and families.
