Carolyn Scott-Patterson

Carolyn Scott-Patterson has bachelor degrees in History (specializing in Egypt's role in the Ancient Near East) and Anthropology (specializing in Archaeology), a Master's degree in Hebrew Bible (specializing in Women in the Hebrew text and Ancient Near Eastern Archaeology, with a thesis on the role of Pilegeshim in cross-cultural context), and the first half of her Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible (dissertation topic: "Working Women in the Hebrew Bible").

She has staffed archaeological digs in Ramat Rahel, Akko, Khirbet er-Ras, and Azekah, lectured on Coptic Art and Archaeology in Egypt, and as a firm believer in experiential archaeology, she has taught Ceramics, and Fabric Arts, and prepped a museum exhibit on stone fences in Healdsberg, CA.

In previous philanthropic employment, Carolyn has been the Youth Director of a Lutheran church, and the Administrator of a foundation supporting graduate students in Religion.
