Thank you to the 1,565 alumni, parents, past parents, grandparents, and friends who helped us end the 2016-17 Webb Fund campaign successfully on June 30. Your generosity enabled The Webb Fund to raise over $1.6 million, plus additional support for endowment and capital improvements, bringing total gifts to $5.2 million! Over 830 alumni participated, spanning nine decades with gifts received from nearly every class between 1937 and 2017. The earliest class gift came from the Class of 1937’s Graham Campbell! We would not have been able to accomplish this great feat without everyone’s support.
We would also like to thank the groups who reached 100% participation, including:
Board of Trustees
Museum Board of Trustees
Alumni Class Agents
“It’s the steadfast support and tremendous generosity of the Webb community that enables the success of our schools,” remarks Head of Schools Taylor Stockdale. “The campus, faculty and students benefit greatly and these gifts enable us to meet changing needs within education, including increased financial aid for families, renovations and physical plant improvements, as well as our commitment to student support and diversity. The recent construction of faculty housing and greater access to professional development ensures that Webb students continue to remain in the forefront of experiential learning. These gifts strengthen and touch every part of Webb.”
The development and alumni office would also like to send an extra special thank you to our alumni, parent and student volunteers. Class agents, parent class agents, reunion chairs and student phonathon callers work diligently throughout the year to cultivate and grow The Webb Fund. The Board of Trustees, Alumni Council, and Affiliates enable the schools to continue to flourish, which would not be possible without your committed support and we are extremely grateful.
Participation in The Webb Fund is vital to Webb’s success. The 2017-18 Webb Fund campaign has officially begun and we look forward to building the foundation of another successful year. To make your annual gift today, please visit webb.org/giving. Go Gauls!
Sponsored by the Robert ’53 and MeiLi Hefner Foundation and offered here at Webb to two current students, The Hefner Initiative aims to foster a close and positive relationship between the people of China and the US. This extraordinary 12-day summer program includes travel this year to Beijing and Suzhou—allowing for living/learning opportunities with host students and families.

It’s November 2nd and the College Guidance office is quiet this morning—nothing like the last few days when countless numbers of panicked seniors were popping in to get their essays looked at one last time before pressing “submit.”
