The school year is quickly coming to a close and as we prepare for the many end-of-year celebrations it is my great pleasure to share with you our annual College Guidance Summary Report for the Class of 2012. In it you will see an impressive list of facts and figures showing the amazing job this year's seniors did with their college admissions.

The State of California continues to suffer through the remains of the global financial crisis. Governor Brown warned yesterday that more cuts to services, including public K-12 and college education are expected--particularly if his proposed tax initiative doesn't pass in November. Taylor Stockdale, Head of Schools, just returned from a two-week trip to Asia to meet with alumni and parents to share good news from campus and to welcome new incoming students to the Webb family. The 14-day trip included stops in six different cities in three countries.

Congratulations to Rose Lewis '09 for winning the 100m Hurdles at the 2012 SCIAC Track & Field Championships held on April 27-28 at the University of Redlands. Rose still holds the VWS record for the 400m dash. Daughters strong!

**"Into the Woods" will run from May 4-6 in Mudd Auditorium at The Webb Schools. The performance starts at 7:30 p.m., no reservation is necessary, though please arrive early for the best seats. On Sunday, April 29 several alumni returned to Webb to talk about their careers and job experiences. Sponsored by the Alumni Council, Sophomore Career Evening is an annual event that gives students a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about the ins-and-outs of different industries and professions. Alumni talk frankly and give students an insider's look into the highs and lows of their profession, the education or work needed to advance, and lots more.
