The Webb Fund March Madness Challenge 2013
Congratulations to the Class of 1967 who are the champions of The Webb Fund March Madness Challenge! Thanks to the dedication of class agent, Fletcher Strickler ’67, 21 members of the Class of 1967 have made a gift so far this fiscal year, many of whom made a second gift in support of the challenge, for a total of 61 points and the win!
The race was close over the six week competition, and the competition really began to heat up once we reached the playoff rounds in April. The rest of the top ten classes include:
Class of 2002: 54 points
Class of 2007: 48 points
Class of 2008: 38 points
Class of 1997: 35 points
Class of 2000: 30 points
Class of 1990: 27 points
Class of 2006: 26 points
Class of 1961: 25 points
Class of 2011: 24 points

A total of 145 alumni gifts were recorded during the challenge for a total of over $70,000, more than doubling last year’s participation and dollars raised between March 1st and April 15th. Every one of those dollars will also be matched thanks to the generous matching gift pledged by trustee, alumnus and alumni parent Bill Bauman ’82, P ’12.
Many thanks to all who made a gift in support of the challenge and for the hard work of our class agents and other volunteers that helped lead their classes into the playoffs!
