Professional focus: I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from Saint Michael’s College and a Master of Arts in Aesthetics and Politics from CalArts. My graduate work focused on 20th century novels’ use of language, syntax, and subtext to disseminate coded anti-authoritarian sentiment. Through experiences as an outdoor educator I have become interested in land stewardship, specifically bird habitats and conservation. I teach Foundations of Civilization, Advanced Studies Global Gender Studies in the fall, and Honors Sustainability in the spring.
Scholarly or professional activities: I attended the NowBoarding teaching institute staged in July 2023 at Boston University by The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS), which addressed the culture and traditions of boarding schools.
