Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, applicants are not required to submit SSAT or ISEE test scores during the 2021 admission cycle. The Webb Admission Team will continue to conduct a holistic review of each applicant, including academic achievements, activities, and interests.
An English-language proficiency test is required if your primary language is not English, and you have not been taught primarily in English for the last two years of school in a fully English-based curriculum. We only accept scores that come directly from the testing organization.
The Webb Schools accept the following English-language proficiency tests:
While not required, we strongly recommend that applicants complete an interview. The interview lets us get to know you and helps ensure that Webb is a right fit.
- Prospective student interviews last about 20 minutes and are hosted on Zoom by a member of the Webb Admission Team.
- Families are welcome to chat with the Admission Team member at the end of the interview and ask any questions they might have about Webb.
Schedule your interview by January 15, 2021, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Additional Information for Applicants in China
We partner with Vericant to conduct preliminary interviews with prospective students in China. Students currently attending school in China are required to complete a Vericant interview.
Students from China currently attending school in the U.S. are not required to complete a Vericant interview and should instead contact us directly. In addition, students who are exempt from taking the TOEFL are not required to complete a Vericant interview.
The Webb Schools award $5.5 million annually in need-based aid. Applications for aid are available through School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS). The deadline to apply for aid is January 15, 2021.
The Webb Schools uses the Gateway to Prep Schools common application, which consists of:
- Candidate Profile
- Webb Student Short Answers
- Webb Parent Statement
- Current English and Math Teacher Recommendations
- Current Principal or Counselor Recommendation
- Transcript Release Authorization
We ask that you not send additional materials (e.g., certificates, letters, or portfolios); all accomplishments and activities should be included in your student statement.
The Character Skills Snapshot gives us richer information about who you are, so that we can base our admission decision on more than just grades and test scores. The snapshot is recommended, but not required.
Webb’s admission decisions will be accessible online on March 10, 2021. Prospective students who submitted applications by the January 15 deadline will receive a decision from Webb by this date. Admission decisions will not be released over the phone.
