Excited to start your application to Webb? Your first step is to complete our inquiry form. We will stay connected with you throughout the application process to inform you of important application dates, admission events and events happening at Webb.
The different aspects of the application process are listed below. Prospective students may schedule their admission interview before submitting the Gateway application.
The application deadline is January 15. If you have any questions about the application process, please contact us at email@example.com.
Complete the inquiry prior to scheduling a campus visit and/or interview. The Inquiry asks for your basic information so that you can get connected with us and receive updates and reminders regarding admission events and the application process.
Test scores will not be reviewed as part of the admission process for fall 2024 applicants. The Webb Admission Team will continue to conduct a holistic review of each applicant, including academic achievements, activities and interests.
An English-language proficiency test is required if your primary language is not English and you have not been taught primarily in English for the last two years of school in a fully English-based curriculum. We only accept scores that come directly from the testing organization.
The Webb Schools accept the following English-language proficiency tests:
While not required, we strongly recommend that applicants complete an interview. The interview lets us get to know you and helps ensure that Webb is the right match. Prospective student interviews will be offered via Zoom, in-person, or by recorded video submission for fall 2024 applicants.
Interview appointments may be scheduled online. Details and registration links will be sent to fall 2024 applicants by email. Interviews may also be scheduled via email firstname.lastname@example.org or calling the Webb Admission Team at (909) 482-5214. All interviews must be scheduled by December 21, 2024. Please complete an online inquiry and select your interview preference prior to scheduling your interview.
For those planning to submit a recorded video interview, specific video instructions will be sent once selected in the interview preference form. In order to submit a video interview, you must first have completed Part 1 of your Gateway to Prep application.
Additional Information for Applicants in China
We partner with Vericant to conduct preliminary interviews with prospective students in China. Students currently attending school in China are required to complete a Vericant interview.
Students from China currently attending school in the U.S. are not required to complete a Vericant interview and should instead contact us directly. In addition, students who are exempt from taking the TOEFL are not required to complete a Vericant interview.
In order to receive an admission decision by March 10, 2024, applicants should submit their application by January 15, 2024. The Webb Schools uses the Gateway to Prep Schools common application, a common application used by many independent schools, which consists of:
- Candidate Profile
- Webb-specific Student Short Answers
- Webb Parent Statement
- Current English and Math Teacher Recommendations
- Current Principal or Counselor Recommendation
- (Optional) One Additional Recommendation
- Transcript Release Authorization
For Community-Based Organization Applicants:
If you are applying through a Community-Based Organization, including A Better Chance (ABC), Daniel Murphy Scholarship Foundation (DMSF), Independent School Alliance (ISA), Inspiring Young Minds (IYM), New Jersey SEEDs, Oliver Scholars, or Young Eisner Scholars (YES), please make sure to check in with your organization to start your Webb application.
Additionally, we ask that you submit an inquiry with us in order to receive emails regarding upcoming events, application reminders, and ways to connect with the Webb community. If you have any questions about your application, please contact us at email@example.com.
The Character Skills Snapshot gives us richer information about who you are, so that we can base our admission decision on more than just grades and test scores. The snapshot is recommended, but not required.
Webb’s admission decisions will be accessible online on March 10, 2024. Prospective students who submitted applications by the January 15 deadline will receive a decision from Webb by this date. Admission decisions will be released in the applicant portal. Applicants will receive instructions to access their portal beginning fall 2023, following the submission of Part 2 of their application.
